Our Project

Welcome!

Mexican immigration to the United States has been a controversial topic as of late, but you may be asking yourself, "why is it an issue and how has it been shaped over time?" Our project explores how immigration from Mexico to the United States has changed since the first group of Mexican-Americans were declared citizens in 1846.

Our research details motives for immigration, the establishment of borders, harsh travel experiences, intense labor conditions, and discrimination in the United States. Immigrants are the epitome of freedom & movement, and we hope our work has a positive impact on your perspective of this polarized issue.
